Be a badger, a rabbit or a fox

THE THINGS YOU’LL NEED:

Printable mask template
Paper or card for your mask
Scraps of coloured and patterned papers to collage
Colouring things – crayons, pastels, pens
Scissors
Holepunch
Glue
Tape
Stapler (optional)
Wool for whiskers
2 lengths of string or ribbon to tie

HOW TO MAKE YOUR WILDLIFE MASK:
  • Decide which animal you’d like to be today and print out the template
  • Cut around the edge of the mask shape
  • Carefully cut out the eye holes
  • Decorate your mask with your colouring things and scraps of colourful papers. You could try finding different textures and use crayons to rub them onto your mask to make interesting patterns
  • Add woolly whiskers
  • Pop a line of glue along one of the straight edges of the upside-down V shape at the bottom of your mask. Pull the other side of the V so that it overlaps the glued edge and stick down. Your mask should form a slight cone shape
  • If your mask needs extra help to stick together, use tape along the inside join of the mask or a couple of staples to keep it super secure. Be careful though, staples are sharp, so make sure to cover the back of the staple with a piece of tape to avoid scratches
  • Punch a hole on either side of your mask - use the small drawn circles as a guide
  • Loop and knot a length of string or ribbon through each punched hole
  • Pop it on and go wild!
